I caught up with one of our customers who is now enjoying the results of his house renovation

Getting positive feedback from customers is the most important thing for us.  I caught up with Dave Canning, from Bristol, who was happy to explain what a significant difference his recent house renovations have made to him and his family.

Earlier this year, Astra Design and Build were contacted by Dave and his wife, Lisa to look at a large extension to the rear of their property – literally, opening out the existing 1920’s dining room and kitchen to make a large, open plan living space. Which also makes use of ‘bringing the garden indoors’ by the installation of bi-fold doors.

And, working with our design team and Project Manager, we pulled together a plan to include:-

• Knocking through walls
• Inserting the new bi-folds
• Making a feature of the supporting steel beam
• Bringing in lots of natural light through the use of Velux windows

Dave said, “This renovation has made such a difference to the way we use the rooms in the house.  We seem to spend most of our time in this space. It was particularly fabulous over the summer months, with BBQs with friends and family, and having the bi-folds open, and everyone being able to be inside and outside in the garden without having the separation of boundary walls etc., We’re absolutely delighted with the results.  We’d like to give a big shout out to Jon at Astra Design and Build, who was the Project Manager on this job.”
